Motion Beds and Hammocks Recalled Due to Infant Suffocation Hazard
On December 8, 20009, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall of Amby Baby Motion Beds, manufactured by Amby Baby USA, of Minneapolis, Minn. Approximately 24,000 units are involved in the recall.
The CPSC warns about the following hazard, "The side-to-side shifting or tilting of the hammock can cause the infant to roll and become entrapped or wedged against the hammock’s fabric and/or mattress pad, resulting in a suffocation hazard."
